Alex Ashman

Dr Alex Ashman is an ENT Surgeon in the south of England. They have interests in subspecialty rhinology, medical education, leadership, academic writing, and service improvement. They have experience of Less Than Full Time training. They are a co-founder of the Oxford Head & Neck Trauma Course, and they are an alumnus of RCS England Emerging Leaders Programme. They have had national committee roles with WENTS UK, RCS England PRiSM, and the BMA EDI Advisory Group. They were AOT ENT Treasurer 2019-2021. They are currently undertaking an MSc in Medical Education with Cardiff University.

Nina Mistry

Nina Mistry is a Consultant ENT surgeon, with a subspecialist interest in otology and paediatric ENT, working at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She has undertaken fellowship training in middle ear and mastoid surgery, laser cholesteatoma surgery and endoscopic ear surgery at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Radboud Medical Centre, Nijmegen, Netherlands. Nina has also undertaken formal research at the UCL Ear Institute leading to the award of an MD(Res). 

 

Nina is an organiser and faculty for the West Midlands FRCS Mock Viva Course and is also a WENTS UK and UCL Women in Surgery mentor. She also has roles as the Digital Education Lead for the Student and Foundation Doctors in Otolaryngology (SFO-UK) and is the Co-Chair of WENTS UK. Nina is passionate about medical education, encouraging and inspiring the next generation of surgeons as well promoting diversity, inclusion and culture change within the specialty.
